The BMS JB4 back end flash transfers fuel control from the JB4 to the DME and adds VANOS tuning, higher than OEM ignition advance, and a host of additional flash map changes designed for maximum performance vehicles. With the flash in place the JB4 ISO continues to run boost control, safety features, fine tuning, in dash gauges, methanol control, and auto learning. Once the flash map is installed the JB4 operates the same as before using the same map numbers, etc, only more efficiently. Together the JB4 ISO + BMS flash provide the absolute best and most robust tuning solution available for your N54 motor. The BMS flash is required for cars running larger than OEM turbos, nitrous oxide, or stock turbo cars that run greater than 40-50% mixtures of E85 fuel.
Upon receipt of the Cobb AP unit load the included "Stage0" map and then email us your DME version so we can email you the proper BMS JB4 flash file for your vehicle. Please note the Cobb AP can also be used without the JB4 using Cobb provided off the shelf maps, although performance and features will be much more limited than what is available using the JB4 along with it. The unit is not VIN locked and can be transferred to other vehicles at any time or resold when your lease is up. |
